Stand fast therefore in the liberty wherewith Christ hath made us free, and be not entangled again with the yoke of bondage. Gal 5:1
It is amazing how people are not eager for free things. One day a man put usable groceries out side his door and put on a label saying free. Amongst the many people that past by, none even dared to pick an item for themselves. After three days, the generous man decided to put a sign saying for sale - £ 1.00 each. In the evening of that day, all the groceries were stolen without leaving payment.
Today, do yourself a favour and live in the liberty Christ has offered you at the expense of His life. In your stead, He died on the cross to liberate you from the captivity caused by your sins. If you believe in Him, His death on the cross, marked the end of your captivity as scripture says, he that is dead is freed from sin, Rom 6:7. On the third day, having defeated all the enemies of freedom, Christ rose from the dead as a sign of victory. Today, whoever believes in Christ, lives in the newness of life, free from the captivity of sin.
For this reason, you have no need to entangle yourself in the captivity of sin. You can live in this freedom today. You have no need of struggling to establish liberty in your life. All you have to do is to have His word in you. Scripture says I will walk in freedom, for I have devoted myself to your commandments, Ps 119:45. So just get the word in you and it will give you liberty in your heart.
Many people want to first work out things, but you cannot add anything to what Christ has done, only believe and you will become what the Word says.
Prayer
Dear Father, I pray I live in the freedom Christ offers me. I pray my heart is filled with your word that I may dwell in the liberty of your word. In Jesus name, I pray, amen.
