Lie not one to another, seeing that ye have put off the old man with his deeds; and have put on the new man, which is renewed in knowledge after the image of him that created him: Col 3:9-10
We have all heard of the famous phrase, "yes you can", by President Obama of USA. With these words, against all the odds, Obama rallied the nation to vote for him into the Presidency office. History was made when the first black man was sworn
into the office of the president after a landslide victory over his opponent; all because he offered the nation, change he believed was possible. It is amazing what a man can do when he believes.
Likewise, believe you can renew your life for better. Choose to put an end to things that scar your life with troubles that lead you into places you
never want to be. For over 400 years, racial injustices reigned in USA, but it took men and women who believed for a better society to standup for change by confronting the social injustices.
Similarly, you too can confront the issues in your life that lead you in trouble. If it is lying, as in the verse above, put it off. If it is drugs, stop them. Whatever it is that gets your life
entangled in trouble, only you can make the decision to stop it.
The option is what Christ has offered you. In the knowledge of the Word of God, God has revealed the person you ought to be. The more you have of this knowledge, and live by it, the
better your life is renewed. Nothing can stop you when you determine to change. You are a person of your own destiny, no body benefits from your change as you do. So put on the new
man by living by the knowledge
in God’s word.
Prayer
Dear Father, reveal to me what
troubles my life. Today I choose
to stop all what is inconsistent
with the new nature in Christ. I
choose to live in the knowledge
of the new man in Christ Jesus,
