I will be your God throughout your lifetime—until your hair is white with age. I made you, and I will care for you. I will carry you along and save you. Isaiah 46:4 NLT
The extent, to which God is committed to you, is beyond what any man can ever express. His commitment towards you did not just start when you heard about God or when you believed in Him. God has been committed to you way before you were born. When you never knew Him, He knew you and was committed to your interests to the extent that He would not leave any stone unturned, to save you from all your troubles.
Scripture says God commends His love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us. Rom 5:8. When you had not known Him, neither had you known your need to be saved, God sent His son to save you by His death on the cross; that He may redeem you from the corruption of sin, and purify you to Himself, a peculiar person zealous of good works, Titus 2:14.
Now that you have come to know God and desire to serve Him, His commitment towards you ought to be much more.
In the opening verse, God is committed to your wellbeing until you grow old. He is determined to save you and deliver you from all the pressures of life. The Psalmist says for this God is our God forever and ever: he will be our guide even unto death. Ps 48:14.
Therefore, you ought to commit yourself to Him too. Nothing in your life is too hard for Him to sort out. He has seen you through the worst; the best is yet to come ahead of you.
Prayer
