Blessed be the Lord, who daily loadeth us with benefits, even the God of our Salvation. Psalms 68:19Â
It is common for people to strive for what they don’t have and take for granted what they have. In doing this many fail to appreciate the goodness God has shown to them. They live life unsatisfied, wanting more without recognizing what God has provided in their lives.
For instance, take the children of Israel, God rescued them from their captivity in Egypt, He supplied for all they needed while in their travel to the promised land, but due to their flesh desires, they showed their ingratitude, when they made a calf to seek for another God. This ought not to be so.
The opening Scripture emphasizes that God loads us with benefits. The word ‘loads’ here depicts heaping in excess. Everyday God is supplying to you His blessings in excess, more than you can handle. He just doesn’t give you to survive, but He supplies to you in excess because that is His way of doing things.
You see, Scripture says that now to him that is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think, Eph. 3:20. It is His righteous way to exceed expectations. His language is of more than enough. Everything He talks about is expressed in terms of more than enough. He said to Abram a man who only needed one child; I will make your seed (descendants) as the dust of the earth, Gen 13:16. He said to the children of Israel who only needed a place of stay that I will bring them to a good land and a large, unto a land flowing with milk and honey, Ex 3:8. He said to Solomon who only needed wisdom to do his job well, that He has made him wiser than any one before and after him, and made him richer than any one who ever lived.
Friend, this same God is still able to load your life daily with benefits. Scripture says His mercies are new every morning. Even today, he is loading you with new mercies. The benefits God loads into our lives have been hid from the understanding of those who are outside His reign. As it is written, eyes have not seen, nor ear heard, neither have entered into the heart of man, the things God has prepared for them that Love Him, but God has revealed them to us by His spirit, 1 Cor. 2:9-10. Only when you have faith in Him can you see and acknowledge these benefits.
Therefore, those who believe and have faith in God have accessed His benefits. By His spirit we have known that God is the God of comfort and we have accessed His comfort by which we comfort others, (2 Cor. 1:3-4). We have known that God is full of mercies and we have accessed His mercies, for healing, for deliverance, for help, whenever we approach Him in prayer. These benefits are available to all who call upon God with a sincere heart.
You too can be loaded daily with these blessings. Scripture says the eyes of the Lord run to and fro throughout the whole earth to show himself strong in the behalf of them whose heart is perfect toward Him, 2 Chron. 16:9. God is looking for you to load you. His blessings are available to you when you align yourself to Him.
