KEY 5: DESTINY.
YOU ARE A DECIDER OF YOUR DESTINY
I call heaven and earth to record this day against you, that I have set before you life and death, blessing and cursing: therefore choose life, that both you and your seed may live: that you may love the Lord your God, and that you may obey His voice, and that you may cleave unto him: for he is your life, and the length of your days: Deuteronomy 30: 19‐20
I remember it like yesterday, when I used to talk about older folks as being out of time. Today, I have my children saying the same thing about me. Now am living in what used to be the future. Makes me wonder where has the time gone.
Destiny is one thing you cannot evade. If you don't prepare for it is encroaches on you unaware. Everyday of our lives we make numerous decisions that determine the state of our future destiny. Today was yesterdays future and the decisions we make today frame our tomorrow.
To understand destiny clearly, we must acknowledge that destiny is a result of choices. If you are going to build and structure your destiny, you must learn the art of making the right choices in life. Make Choices that result in life and not death. Choices of blessings and not curses. Your life today is the result of the choices you have made in the past. Although certain things may not be a result of our choices, holding on to those choices is up to us.
As a person, you are a decider of your own destiny. Changing and structuring your destiny is in your control. It is in your power to make choices that result in the life you want to live in the future. You are where you are because of the choices you made in the past and allowed to continue. You can choose to change these choices anytime.
In the opening scripture, God is calling on all people to choose Him, the giver of life, that they may be blessed and live in prosperity. The choices of God are life giving. They are the foundations of a lasting destiny. When we choose them, we certainly fuel our destiny with qualities of life that go beyond our generation. Choosing God today is to make future decisions that design a prosperous destiny. Therefore, make your choices today. Wisely give your self to the ways of God and He will establish you.
Choosing to follow God is an everlasting choice that guarantees your salvation even when you are dead. Chose to follow God who has promised to never leave you nor forsake.
